Since 1952, we've been serving Austin scratch-made Tex-Mex with a side of true Texas hospitality. What began as a small 40-seat café on East 1st Street has grown into a legendary South Lamar landmark that welcomes more than 500 guests daily. From our sizzling fajitas to Bob’s Famous Queso, every dish is made fresh from our kitchen — just like Janie Martinez did on day one. Family-owned and operated for over 70 years, we’re proud to be an Austin tradition for locals and visitors alike.
